Five years ago, one of the movies being touted as a strong Oscar contender was David Fincher’s 2010 movie called ”THE SOCIAL NETWORK”. Based upon Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book about the founding of Facebook - The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal” - the movie starred Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield as two of Facebook’s co-founders, Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin. "IN TIME" (2011) Review

New Zealand-born director Andrew Niccol seemed to have developed a habit . . . or reputation for writing and directing a handful of science-fiction oriented movies with the theme of physical youth or some kind of artificial situation as a motif. The recent science-fiction thriller, "IN TIME" turned out to be his fourth (I think) movie in this genre. ( Read more... )
